    Igor Orozovič

    Igor Orozovič

Igor Orozovič is an actor, singer, musician, and a composer, lyricist, and visual artist in his free time. After graduating from high school, he spent two years studying musical theatre at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory before pursuing dramatic acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). In 2009, he successfully auditioned for the title role in Sophocles' Oedipus Rex at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, securing a permanent engagement there with roles in productions such as Amadeus, Ballad for a Bandit (Balada pro banditu), and The Full Monty (Donaha!). Starting in 2010, he played Tybalt at the Ostrava Shakespeare Festival, and a year later portrayed Judas in Pavel Helebrand's The Gospel According to the Fiddle (Evangelium podle houslí). As a musician, he co-founded Cabaret Calembour in 2009 alongside Milan Šotek and Jiří Suchý z Tábora; the cabaret continues the tradition of small-form theatres and literary cabarets while hosting concerts. Orozovič is currently an ensemble member of the National Theatre Drama in Prague and appears as a guest actor at several other Prague venues (including Divadlo Pod Palmovkou, Divadlo Mír, Činoherní klub, and Studio DVA). He has appeared in numerous film and television roles, including the series Monyová, Polda, and Devadesátky (Nineties). He has been nominated twice for the Thalia Award in the Musical category and received the Alfréd Radok Award for Talent of the Year. He speaks English, French and Serbian.
