Marie Doležalová

Marie Doležalová is a Czech actress, writer, and musician, and one of the most prominent faces of today’s Czech cultural scene. She graduated from the Prague Conservatory and later joined the Strašnice Theatre, where she also created her own projects (Krysy, Zápalka aneb Noc v kabaretu). Audiences know her from the film Pusinky, the sitcom Comeback, and many productions at Divadlo Na Fidlovačce (Tři holky jako květ, Babička, Nevěsta, Až naprší a uschne). Besides acting, she writes lyrics for the band Olats otesoc and contributed to the animated film Až po uši v mechu. In 2015, she won the prestigious Magnesia Litera award for her blog Kafe a cigárko. She also became widely recognized thanks to the dance competition StarDance… when stars dance, which she won in 2015 with her partner and now husband, dancer Marek Zelinka. Together they are raising two children.
