Martin Dytko

Martin Dytko is a Czech composer, guitarist, educator, author of stage music, and writer. After studying biology and physics at the University of Ostrava, he studied jazz guitar under Jan Kyjovský. As a composer and live musician, he collaborates with theatre stages such as Divadlo na cucky, Studio G, Stará aréna Ostrava, and the Ostrava Puppet Theatre. He is a member of the bands Šamanovo zboží, Sothein, and Octopus field. In his solo work, he focuses on ambient-jazz compositions and teaches at a primary art school. A significant part of his work is his literary activity (e.g., the poetic film The Epoch of the Lightbulb / Epocha žárovky).
