
Radovan Král
Radovan Král is a Czech actor and one of the long-standing pillars of the Municipal Theatre Zlín, where he has been a key member of the ensemble since 1998. A graduate of the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno, he is known for his charismatic stage presence, strong physical energy, and remarkable versatility across drama, comedy, and musical theatre.
Over the years, he has created dozens of memorable roles on the Zlín stage, including Truffaldino in The Servant of Two Masters, Edward Kynaston in Stage Beauty, Jerry Lukowski in Donaha!, Jeník in The Bartered Bride, and Tomáš Baťa Jr. in Baťa III. He is an actor who captivates audiences with both precise comic timing and expressive physical performance, and he regularly ranks among the most popular actors in the theatre’s audience poll Aplaus.
In addition to theatre work, Radovan Král has appeared in film and television productions such as Smiling Sad Men, Gendarme Tales, and Teambuilding, and has also guest-performed at other major Czech theatres, including Brno City Theatre and Dejvický Theatre. Critics describe him as “an actor with exceptional stage confidence, a wide expressive range, and natural charisma.”
