
Jakub Vašek
Jakub Vašek is a Czech actor, director, playwright, and producer. He graduated from the Music and Drama Department at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava. He has performed at the Silesian Theatre in Opava and worked with Divadlo Mír. He is the founder and artistic director of Divadlo Koktejl and the independent Ostrava stage Komorní divadlo Arté, where he has directed and produced more than 14 productions. Among his successful projects are the stage adaptation of Michal Viewegh’s Stories of Marriage and Sex, the dramatization of Petr Zelenka’s film Buttoners, Jan Svěrák’s book Bohemia, his own play The Lost One of the Pair, the radio play Odd Number, and the stage production of Román pro ženy (From Subway with Love) featuring Martin Kraus and Ivana Jirešová.
