    Lucie Žáčková

    Lucie Žáčková is a Czech actress and one of the most distinctive figures in contemporary Czech theatre and film. She studied acting at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and began her career at the Divadlo Petra Bezruče, where she quickly captivated audiences with performances in The Glass Menagerie, The Lips of Mick Jagger, and The Idiot. She later joined the Komorní scéna Aréna and from 2006 became a member of the National Theatre Drama Ensemble in Prague. Today, she continues to shine as part of the Činoherní klub ensemble. Lucie Žáčková received the Thálie Award for Young Drama Talent and the Alfréd Radok Award – Talent of the Year (2004). She made her film debut in Martin Šulík’s The City of the Sun and won the Czech Lion Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Snake Brothers. Audiences also know her from leading roles in The Stodola Killers and Amerikánka.
