
Lenka Skopalová
Lenka Skopalová is a Czech actress and one of the most prominent figures in Czech theatre and film. After studying at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno, where she enrolled in 1974, she caught attention early on with a leading role in Jiří Svoboda’s film A Mirror for Kristýna. As a student, she also appeared at the State Theatre in Brno, impressing audiences as Adéla in Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba.
After graduation, she joined the Činoherní Studio in Ústí nad Labem, later performed with the Prague ensemble Dílna 24, and eventually became a permanent member of Prague’s Činoherní klub, where she still performs today as one of its key actresses. Her acting is known for its naturalness, empathy, and precise sense of detail, allowing her to move effortlessly between drama and comedy.
