Petr Joo

Petr Joo is a Czech stage and television actor and a former professional dancer. He received his artistic education at the Prague Conservatory, where he successfully studied ballet. During his rich dance career, he performed on prestigious stages such as the National Theatre in Prague, Laterna magika, and the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen. He also spent a significant part of his professional life in Germany, where he danced at the Regensburg Opera and subsequently ran a local ballet school for eight years. After ending his dance career, he smoothly transitioned to dramatic acting and musicals. He returned to Czech stages in 2018 at the Broadway Theatre in Prague. Currently, he is a regular guest actor at the West Bohemian Theatre in Cheb and the Karlovy Vary Municipal Theatre. Audiences can also see him in front of the camera; he starred in the acclaimed Czech film Bird Atlas, in foreign pictures, and in popular domestic series such as Místo zločinu České Budějovice and others.
