Dana Batulková
Dana Batulková initially hesitated about pursuing acting and considered studying English. In the end, however, acting prevailed, and she began her artistic journey in the Viola recitation studio. She was accepted to DAMU on her first attempt and, after graduating, performed at theatres in Kladno and Mladá Boleslav.
Since the late 1990s, she has appeared on leading Prague stages, including Divadlo Komedie, where she collaborated with directors Jan Nebeský and Michal Dočekal, and Divadlo na Jezerce, where she portrayed Valerie in Kaviár nebo čočka and Lady Montague during the Summer Shakespeare Festival production of Romeo and Juliet. She is currently a regular performer at Prague City Theatres.
She excels in both psychologically layered dramatic roles and comedy. Television audiences know her from the series Comeback, Slunečná, Ordinace v růžové zahradě, and Ulice. On the big screen, she appeared alongside Milan Šteindler in the comedy Vrať se do hrobu!. In December 2008, she won the third season of the dance competition StarDance… when stars dance, partnered with Jan Onder. She is the former wife of actor David Prachař, with whom she has a son, Jakub, and a daughter, Mariana.
