Vít Peřina
Vít Peřina is a Czech playwright, dramaturge, and actor, and one of the most prominent creators in contemporary Czech puppet and children’s theatre. He has been a long-standing member of the Drak Theatre in Hradec Králové, where he has written dozens of plays, and also collaborates with many other stages across the Czech Republic. He is the author of fairy tales and original dramas that entertain both children and adults with playfulness, linguistic lightness, and the ability to address serious themes with ease. Beyond theatre, he is engaged in teaching and writing for radio. Critics have described him as “one of the most prolific Czech authors for children” and praise his ability to “write stories that are as moving as they are entertaining.” Both audiences and professionals admire his sense of humor, imagination, and feeling for the rhythm of stage storytelling. Thanks to this, Vít Peřina is firmly associated with the success of Czech puppet theatre at home and abroad.
