Lucia Chuťková Džubáková
Lucia Chuťková Džubáková is a Slovak composer, performer, and theatre music author, recognized as one of the leading voices of contemporary stage music. She studied composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU), and her work blends acoustic instruments, electronics, voice, and experimental sound textures. Her music is known for its emotional precision, atmosphere, rhythm, and ability to become an organic part of the theatrical narrative.
She has collaborated with major Slovak theatres, including the Slovak National Theatre, Divadlo Pôtoň, and Studio 12, with music featured in acclaimed productions such as Job, America, and The Trial. Younger audiences know her from beloved animated projects Mimi & Lisa: The Garden, Mimi & Lisa: The Christmas Mystery, and the new feature Grandma’s Fairy Tales.
Critics praise her for creating “intimate, hypnotic, and emotionally precise sonic worlds” that blur the line between reality and imagination.
