
František Kovár
František Kovár is a renowned Slovak actor and one of the most respected figures in Slovak theatre, film, and television. He graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU) and has been a long-standing member of the Slovak National Theatre, where he has created dozens of iconic roles — from timeless classics to contemporary works. Audiences know him from productions such as War and Peace, The Trial, The Good Person of Szechwan and King Lear.
Beyond the stage, he has built a strong career in film and television, appearing in acclaimed titles including Scumbag (Sviňa), Kidnapping (Únos), The Interpreter (Tlmočník) and in series such as City of Shadows, Za sklom and Druhá šanca.
