Hana Kessnerová
Hana Kessnerová is a Czech set and costume designer. She graduated in Scenography from DAMU in Prague.
In her professional practice, she focuses on designing theatrical spaces, costumes, and original visual installations. She collaborates with various repertory and independent theaters. She made a significant impact at the West Bohemian Theatre in Cheb as the set and costume designer for the successful production Around the World in Eighty Days (Cesta kolem světa). She regularly participates in the international festival of contemporary art 4+4 Days in Motion, where she presented, for example, the original project Haiku (together with Klára Pavlíčková), focusing on site-specific installations and performing arts.
Her work also includes collaborations with the South Bohemian Theatre, the JEDL Theatre Company, the Dejvice Theatre, and the Vršovice Theatre MANA. She focuses on the functional use of materials and light within the theatrical context.
