Šimon Kočí
Šimon Kočí is a prominent Czech lighting designer, electrician, and stage technologist. He was born in Prague into the family of puppeteer Pavel Kočí. Since childhood, he has grown up in the theatre environment, mastering all technical and performance trades. Self-taught in stage lighting from the age of ten, he later graduated with a bachelor's degree in Stage Technology from DIFA JAMU in Brno. As a lighting designer and technician, he maintains long-standing collaborations with leading theatre stages and companies, including Divadlo DISK, Divadlo Vosto5, Švandovo divadlo, Buranteatr, Divadlo Feste, and the acrobatics troupe Bratři v tricku.
Visually, he has co-created productions such as La Cage aux Folles (Klec bláznů), Slzy ošlehaných mužů, and Teatromat. Alongside his theatre work, he has extensive experience with festivals (Letní Letná, Summer Shakespeare Festival) as well as television production and directing.
