Denisa Grimmová Abrhámová

Denisa Grimmová Abrhámová is an accomplished Czech set designer, animated film director, artist, animator, and screenwriter. She drew significant attention on both the domestic and international scenes as the co-director and graphic designer of the successful feature-length animated film Even Mice Belong in Heaven (Myši patří do nebe, 2021). Her versatile work encompasses both film projects and scenic design for the theatre. The film Even Mice Belong in Heaven, which she co-directed with Jan Bubenčík, won a Czech Lion Award, the Czech Film Critics' Award, a Special Mention at the Zlín Film Festival, and received prestigious nominations for the European César and European Film Awards. As a creator, she focuses on a precise visual aesthetic and a modern approach to puppet and animated filmmaking.
