
Євген Станкович
Yevhen Stankovych is a renowned Ukrainian composer, People's Artist of Ukraine, Shevchenko Prize laureate, and academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. He is the author of six symphonies, operas, ballets, chamber and choral music, as well as numerous scores for theatre and film. His works blend deep national roots with modern musical language. Among his most acclaimed pieces are the folk opera-ballet “When the Fern Blooms”, the opera “Rusalka” based on Lesya Ukrainka’s text, and the symphonic requiem “Panakhyda for the Victims of Famine”. His music has been performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, and his influence on Ukrainian classical music spans more than five decades.
