Іржі Ш. Гаєк

Jiří Š. Hájek is a Czech actor and theatre director who studied at JAMU and soon after co-founded the Divadlo Tramtarie in Olomouc and the BuranTeatr in Brno. He performed at HaDivadlo and appeared on almost all Brno stages, and since 2004 he has also been active as a director. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Městské divadlo Kladno, where he has appeared in a number of notable roles. Audiences also know him from television projects – he appeared in the series Kancl, Kosmo, Život a doba soudce A. K. and Ulice, and he also starred in the fairy-tale film Sněžný drak (The Snow Dragon). Hájek is valued for his ability to combine naturalistic acting with wit and improvisation, which makes him one of the prominent figures of contemporary Czech theatre.
