Маріан Амслер

Marián Amsler is a Slovak director, dramaturg, and theatre author who has long been active on the Czech-Slovak stage. A graduate of theatre directing at the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava, he began his career at the legendary Divadlo Aréna and Astorka Korzo ’90 Theatre. He later worked at Divadlo Petra Bezruče and at HaDivadlo in Brno, where he served as artistic director from 2010 to 2017, and also directed at the Klicpera Theatre and the Prague City Theatres. His productions are known for their strong visual style, attention to detail, and ability to bring classical works closer to contemporary audiences. Marián Amsler belongs among the creators whose work pushes the boundaries of modern theatre and makes it appealing to new generations of viewers.
