Zdeněk Rumpík

Zdeněk Rumpík is an experienced Czech actor, director, and teacher who has been one of the leading figures of the East Bohemian Theatre in Pardubice since 1979. He studied acting at DAMU (the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) and began his career at the Moravian Theatre Olomouc and the Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové, where he later also served as director. His strength lies in character roles filled with depth and subtle humor, from classical drama to contemporary plays. In addition to acting, he devotes himself to directing, dubbing, and teaching – he leads the LAIK Young Theatre Studio, where he helps nurture the next generation of actors.
