Hanuš Bor
Hanuš Bor is a prominent Czech stage, film, and television actor. He gained his first acting experience at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s as a child film star, when director Zbyněk Brynych cast him in the lead role in A Local Romance (Žižkovská romance), and he later appeared in Karel Zeman's cult fantasy film The Stolen Airship (Ukradená vzducholoď). After graduating in acting from DAMU in Prague, he joined the company of the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, excelling in productions such as Amadeus, As You Like It, Peer Gynt, The Trial, and Salome. In the 1990s, he performed at the Labyrint Theatre, and following its closure, he helped shape the era of the revitalized Na Fidlovačce Theatre, starring in Fiddler on the Roof and Cyrano de Bergerac. He has also frequently appeared at the Summer Shakespeare Festival (Macbeth, Hamlet), and since 2007, he has been a permanent cornerstone of the Prague City Theatres acting company. Television audiences know him well from series such as Černí andělé, Místo nahoře, Kriminálka Anděl, and Vyprávěj.
