Dan Kranich

Dan Kranich is a Czech theater actor and musician. He was born in Šumperk but grew up in Prague, where his success at the Wolkerův Prostějov festival steered him toward acting. After a year at the Higher Vocational School of Acting, he transferred to DAMU in Prague, graduating from the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre. During his studies, he collaborated with independent Prague theaters such as LETÍ, Tygr v tísni, and studio DAMÚZA. After graduating, he relocated to South Bohemia and became a core member of the drama ensemble at the South Bohemian Theatre. In addition to acting, he is deeply involved in original and stage music. He composes music for theater productions, collaborating, among others, with the Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové. Together with his DAMU classmate Ivo Sedláček, he also forms the acclaimed and highly popular experimental rap duo P/\ST, whose lyrics and energy strongly resonate on the alternative music and theater scenes.
