Luděk Randár

Luděk Randár is a Czech actor and a long-standing pillar of Zlín Municipal Theatre, where he has been a permanent ensemble member since the early 1980s. His journey to the stage began early — he joined a drama club at the age of nine. After studying at a secondary economic school in Olomouc, he graduated in acting from the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno. Already during his studies, he performed at what was then the Theatre of the Working People in Gottwaldov and became a permanent company member after graduating in 1982. On stage, Randár is valued for his reliability, natural acting style and his ability to bring depth and authenticity even to subtle roles. In addition to his work in drama, he has long been involved with amateur theatre groups and works as a director in the Holešov amateur theatre scene. He collaborates closely with Radio Zlín and lectures at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. In the past, he also worked extensively in dubbing and appeared in episodic roles in television series. Critics describe him as “a dependable cornerstone of Zlín theatre” — an actor whose career bridges professional theatre with regional cultural life through dedication, craft and long-term commitment.
