Martin Sládeček
Martin Sládeček is a Czech dramaturge, author, and artistic director of Divadlo Husa na provázku in Brno. He studied dramaturgy at JAMU and, during his studies, worked at the National Theatre Brno, where he gained attention with the play Otvírání studánek Alfréda Radoka. He also collaborated with the Švanda Theatre in Prague, and since 2019 has been part of the Husa na provázku team, which he has led since the 2020/2021 season. He is the recipient of the Salzburg State Prize and the Evald Schorm Award. Critics praise his ability to connect theatre with current social issues and community engagement. Martin Sládeček is regarded as one of the key figures of contemporary Czech dramaturgy, pushing boundaries and giving theatre a new direction.
