Robert Jarosz
Robert Jarosz is a Polish playwright, theater director, and dramaturg. He graduated in Directing from the Puppetry Department of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw (Białystok branch).
As a playwright, he has become a multiple-time laureate of competitions organized by the Children's Art Center in Poznań. He received awards for his texts W beczce chowany, Szczurzysyn, W brzuchu Wilka, and Śnieży. These plays were published and performed on stages such as the Teatr Animacji in Poznań and the Teatr Lalek Banialuka in Bielsko-Biała. His play Wnyk, directed by Bogusław Kierc at the Opole Theatre of Puppet and Actor (OTLiA), won two jury awards at the National Competition for the Staging of Polish Contemporary Drama, and the text itself was published by the specialized monthly magazine Dialog. The play W brzuchu Wilka was included in an anthology of the latest Polish drama published by the ADiT agency.
In the Czech Republic, he worked as the scriptwriter and co-dramaturg for the production A Midsummer Night's Dream (Sen noci svatojánské) at the Radost Theatre in Brno. As a director, he focuses primarily on work for children and youth; his directing credits include the projects Gdzie jest Pinokio, Dudi i piórko (Teatr Baj Pomorski in Toruń), Audiopyłki, Nusia i wilki (OTLiA in Opole), and Słoń i kwiat (a co-production of BTL in Białystok and the Grupa Coincidentia ensemble).
