Martin Chocholoušek

Martin Chocholoušek is a Czech stage designer, costume artist, and visual magician whose work ranks among the most distinctive contributions to contemporary theatre. A graduate of stage design at DAMU, his creations have appeared on leading Czech and international stages – including the National Theatre in Prague, Divadlo Na zábradlí, Dejvické divadlo, Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové, and the Aréna Theatre in Ostrava. His sets and costumes are praised for their precision, visual inventiveness, and ability to enhance dramatic storytelling. Chocholoušek has collaborated with many leading directors, including Jan Mikulášek and Pavel Khek. Critics describe him as “one of the most respected Czech stage designers of today,” with his work nominated for the prestigious Alfréd Radok Award.
