Marek Cpin

Marek Cpin is one of the most prominent scenographers and costume designers in contemporary Czech theatre. A graduate of JAMU, since 2013 he has been the principal designer at Divadlo Na zábradlí, where, together with director Jan Mikulášek, he has created visually striking productions such as Europeana, The Golden Sixties, Clearcutting, Hamlets, and Macbeth. He is the recipient of the Theatre Critics’ Award and has been repeatedly nominated for the Alfréd Radok Award and the Czech Lion, for example for the film The Watchmaker’s Apprentice. Beyond theatre, he also works on film and opera projects and has collaborated with the prestigious brand Hermès. Critics praise his imagination, precision, and ability to create visual worlds that transform productions into unforgettable experiences.
