Ондржей Ветчі

Ondřej Vetchý is a Czech actor and a long-standing member of Prague’s Činoherní klub (Drama Club), where he has performed since 1989 and become one of its most prominent faces. Audiences can also regularly see him on stage at the Palace Theatre and the Žižkov Theatre of Jára Cimrman. With his energy, natural acting style, and ability to combine humour with dramatic depth, he ranks among the most popular Czech actors today. Beyond theatre, he has made a strong mark in film and television. His unforgettable roles include Dark Blue World, The Blissful Years of Lousy Living, and the fairy tale classic Give the Devil His Due (S čerty nejsou žerty). He achieved great success with the film Sunday League – Pepik Hnatek’s Final Match, for which he won the Czech Lion Award 2012 for Best Supporting Actor.
