Йозеф Чепелка
Josef Čepelka is a Czech actor, a graduate of the Prague Conservatory, and a member of the Klicpera Theatre ensemble in Hradec Králové since the 1996/97 season. On the Hradec stage, he has performed dozens of roles – from Shakespeare (Richard III) and Chekhov (Uncle Vanya) to comedies such as Čtyřlístek! and the mysterious Prašina. Beyond the Klicpera Theatre, he is also connected with the Jára Cimrman Theatre, where, after the death of Ladislav Smoljak, he took over the role of trainee Hlaváček and still performs it alongside his father, Cimrmanologist Miloň Čepelka. Critics and audiences alike appreciate his natural style, humor, and ability to combine dramatic depth with wit. Josef Čepelka is one of those artists whose name is firmly linked both with the Klicpera Theatre and with the legend of Jára Cimrman.
