
Маркета Матулова
Markéta Matulová is a prominent Czech actress, singer, and violinist who moves across the stage with the same confidence she brings to shifting emotions, genres, and musical styles. Originally from Fryšták, she studied acting in Zlín under Vanda Kavková. Her first major engagement came at the Petr Bezruč Theatre in Ostrava, where she quickly stood out thanks to her acting talent, musical sensitivity, and strong personal presence.
Her breakthrough role came as singer Věra Špinarová in Špinarka, earning her the Theatre Critics’ Award, the Talent of the Year title, and the Jantar Award (2021), as well as a nomination for the Thalia Award (2022). Audiences also know her from productions such as Šikmý kostel (The Leaning Church), Loves of a Blonde, and The White Disease.
Since 2023, she has been a member of Divadlo Husa na provázku, where she continues her intense, emotionally rich, and musically driven acting. Markéta Matulová is one of the most distinctive rising stars of the Czech theatre scene.
