
Vladimír Polák
Vladimír Polák is a Czech actor, comedian, host, and a prominent figure on the Ostrava cultural and public scene. His performance style combines precise dramatic technique with extraordinary improvisational talent, making him one of the most sought-after artists today.
After studying at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, he dedicated more than two decades of his career to the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, where he performed dozens of roles in drama, operetta, and musicals. He is currently a permanent member of the popular Divadlo Mír ensemble. He gained widespread popularity primarily as a member of the improv group Three Tigers (Tři Tygři), where, alongside Albert Čuba, Štěpán Kozub, and Robin Ferro, he defines the modern face of Czech comedy. In addition to acting, he hosts prestigious events and is active in local politics.
On the silver screen and television, he has appeared in films such as Ostravak Ostravski, Woman's Revenge, and Roes (Srnky), as well as in the series Místo zločinu Ostrava and Krematorium.
