Павел Кікінчук

Pavel Kikinčuk is a Czech actor known for his comedic talent as well as his ability to deliver dramatic roles with depth and sensitivity. After graduating from JAMU in Brno in 1983, he joined the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň, where he spent sixteen years and created many unforgettable roles – from comedies (A Flea in Her Ear, Squabbles in Chioggia) to dramas (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, He Who Gets Slapped). He also collaborated with fellow actor Antonín Procházka on popular plays (Not with Your Daughter, Eternal Subscribers). He first appeared at Prague’s Činoherní klub in 1994 and has been a permanent member since 1999. On this legendary stage, he portrayed Garcin in Sartre’s No Exit as well as roles in productions such as Mask and Face, The Blunder, and The Impresario from Smyrna. Film and television audiences know him just as well – he is unforgettable in the classic comedy Sun, Hay, Strawberries (Slunce, seno, jahody) and in Babovřesky. He has also appeared in TV series, including Ordinace v růžové zahradě (Surgery in the Rose Garden).
