Pavel Gejguš
Pavel Gejguš is a Czech theatre director, dramaturg, and educator. In 2009, he graduated in dramatic directing from the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno. He then worked as a freelance director, collaborating with theatres in Cheb (Saturnin), Olomouc, Zlín, and Bratislava. Between 2014 and 2019, he held the position of artistic director, director, and dramaturg at the Stará aréna cultural space in Ostrava. Since 2019, he has worked as a freelancer again, collaborating with Komorní scéna Aréna (Ošklivec), the Petr Bezruč Theatre, Studio G (Kerouac, Zakázanou krajinou), and the Ostrava Puppet Theatre (Ani ryba, ani krab). Since September 1, 2021, he has been a permanent dramaturg for the drama department at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre (Bůh, Idiot, Marie Antoinetta). He has also taught at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava.
