Мартин Мишичка

Martin Myšička is a Czech film, television, and stage actor and director. From 2017 to 2024, he served as the Artistic Director of the Dejvice Theatre, where he has been a permanent ensemble member since 1997. A graduate in dramatic acting from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) and subnuclear physics from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University (MFF UK), he performed on the stages of the National Theatre and Studio Ypsilon while still a student. In 1994, he received the Alfréd Radok Award for Talent of the Year for his portrayal of Prince Myshkin in the drama The Idiot. At the Dejvice Theatre, he has played numerous prominent roles in productions such as The Brothers Karamazov, Oblomov, The Government Inspector, Hamlet, and Twelfth Night. On the big screen, he rose to fame in films like The Karamazovs, Charlatan, One Hand Can't Clap, Protector, In the Shadow, and Lost in Munich. Television audiences know him from series such as Osada, The Dejvice Theatre's Doom, Dabing Street, and Crime Scene České Budějovice. Martin Myšička lives in Prague and can be seen regularly in the current repertoire of the Dejvice Theatre.
