Jan Štifter
Jan Štifter is a successful Czech writer, publicist, and journalist. He was born in 1984 in České Budějovice, graduated in cultural history from the University of Pardubice, and his literary work is deeply rooted in the South Bohemian region. He is renowned as an author of novels and novellas that sensitively unravel forgotten human destinies and historical family secrets. Among his most successful books are the novels Sběratel sněhu (The Czech Book Readers' Award), Paví hody, Café Groll, and the short story collection Světlo z Pauliny. His literary works exhibit strong dramatic potential and are becoming sought-after material for stage adaptations and scenic readings.
