Anna Javorková
Anna Javorková is a Slovak theatre, film and television actress. She was born in Ružomberok and studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava. Since the mid-1970s she has been closely associated with the Drama Company of the Slovak National Theatre, where she has created numerous notable roles in both classical and contemporary productions.
On stage, Anna Javorková is admired for her refined acting style, elegance and ability to portray the psychological depth of her characters. She impressed audiences in productions such as Oresteia, Maryša, and Three Sisters, confirming her remarkable sensitivity and strong stage presence. For her role of Clytemnestra in Oresteia, she received the prestigious Slovak theatre award DOSKY.
Alongside theatre, she has also appeared in film and television. Audiences may recognize her from series such as Mesto tieňov, Odsúdené, Divoké kone, or Druhý dych, where she created memorable and distinctive characters.
