Магдалена Зімова

Magdalena Zimová is a Czech theatre, television, and film actress. She enrolled, alongside her brother, actor Martin Matejka, to study at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU in Prague. She secured her first major permanent engagement at the renowned alternative and puppet theatre DRAK in Hradec Králové, where she fully developed her sense of playfulness and distinct stage stylization. In 2000, she relocated to Prague and became a permanent member of the artistic ensemble at Divadlo v Dlouhé, where she continues to perform successfully alongside her brother to this day. Audiences at this popular stage have seen her in dozens of successful productions, including Jak jsem se ztratil, Maškaráda, Běsi, or Myška z bříška. She also regularly applies her extensive experience and versatile talent in front of the camera. Television audiences know her from a variety of small but memorable episodic roles across popular series. She has appeared, for example, in projects like Dabing Street, Ordinace v růžové zahradě, Svatby v Benátkách, and Zázraky života.
