Ян Медуна

Jan Meduna is a versatile Czech theatre, television, and film actor who is also successfully involved in music and radio production. Although he comes from an acting family, he initially resisted the profession. Eventually, however, he studied drama acting at DAMU in Prague, successfully graduating in 2006. He secured a permanent engagement at the popular Divadlo v Dlouhé in Prague, where he remains a loyal ensemble member to this day. Audiences could also see him on the stages of Švandovo divadlo, Spolek Kašpar, or the Prague City Theatres. He entered the wider public consciousness right at the beginning of his career with the lead role of Private Pospíchal in the acclaimed war drama Tobruk (2008). He also appears regularly on television screens, where he is frequently cast in the roles of investigators. You might have seen him, for example, in the hit series Labyrint or Případy 1. oddělení.
