Marta Bačíková is one of the most distinctive Czech actresses of her generation and has been a permanent member of the Městské divadlo Zlín ensemble since 2010. She stands out for her emotional authenticity, powerful stage presence and the ability to give every role a deep human dimension. Audiences know her from acclaimed performances such as Cassandra (Oresteia), Janigena (Žítkovské bohyně), Marie Baťová (Baťa Tomáš, živý), Nastasya Filippovna (The Idiot) and Helena (The Trojan Women). In recent years, she gained major acclaim for her roles in Glorie, Love Letters to the North (Dobrý proti severáku) and Mosquitoes, for which she received the audience Aplaus Award in 2019. She has also guest-performed at Divadlo Tramtarie and Divadlo v Celetné and appears in film and television.
