Edita Bandyová

Edita Bandyová is an actress and violinist with a gentle spirit and precise musical instinct. Born a month before Christmas under the sign of Sagittarius, she studied violin at the Conservatory in Ostrava and, after graduating, played mostly in cafés. Her path to the Divadlo loutek Ostrava was almost fateful — one day a violinist dropped out of a performance, and Edita stepped in. She first appeared as a guest (from 1996), then worked as an usher, and eventually became a full member of the ensemble as both musician and actress. She says that children in the audience emit a special kind of energy, and they remain her favourite audience to perform for. If she didn’t work in theatre, she would probably open a small souvenir shop.
