Jan Smyček

Jan Smyček is a Czech theatre professional closely connected with the Divadlo loutek Ostrava, where he works as a stage manager and occasional puppeteer. He entered the theatre world during his studies, starting out as a stagehand, and has since become an indispensable part of the Ostrava stage. He has contributed to numerous productions – from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where he played the role of Fortel, to more recent projects where he ensures the smooth running of performances from behind the scenes. Jan Smyček proves that backstage work is a vital part of theatre magic, turning every evening into an unforgettable experience.
