Fall on Pluto
Autumn on Pluto is a documentary theatre project by Lviv-based director Sashko Brama. The play is based on the real-life stories of elderly residents from the Lviv Geriatric Home. Pluto, the most distant celestial body in our Solar System, symbolizes isolation and loneliness — much like a care home on the city’s outskirts. Autumn represents both the fading of nature and the harvesting of life's fruits — a quiet, fragile, and often painful image of old age. These metaphors form the poetic framework of the performance. Blending documentary storytelling with a gentle theatrical touch, Autumn on Pluto invites audiences to reflect on aging, memory, and the dignity of life’s final chapter. The production premiered in 2017 at the Lesya Ukrainka Lviv Academic Drama Theatre.
